I slide a pan of chocolate chip cookies onto the rack in the oven and close the door before turning to see Cody swiping his forefinger around the rim of the aluminum bowl with the batter. He tastes some, closing his eyes as he savors it, moaning a familiar moan that I’ve gotten to enjoy in much steamier moments.
“Tastes real good,” he says, opening his eyes, the expression he’s making assuring me that he’s trying to make the act as sexual as possible.
“I can give you something else to taste,” I joke.
His brow raises, his expression filled with interest.
He moves toward me quickly, holding the bowl to his side. I step back, hitting my ass on the cabinet behind me as he presses his torso against mine while setting the bowl down on the counter behind me.
He scans my face, his eyes settling on my lips.
My dick stiffens in my jeans.
“I wouldn’t mind a little taste right about now,” Cody says.
He squats, and as much as I want to do this, I know we don’t have any time.
I slide out from between him and the counter.
“We seriously have to finish getting things ready,” I say. “We have so much to do. I have those fold-out tables and chairs I borrowed from Mom that we have to set up. And then all those dishes I made last night have to be put on the stove at some point. I should have just dropped off that stuff at the food drive last night. Now I’m all stressed about getting back in time to put the turkey in the oven. And I’m freaking out a little because when I invited Derek to come over, I didn’t figure he’d mention it to Gary…and now we have Mom, Doc, my crew, and Travis that we have to entertain, and then—”
He rushes me again, pressing his lips to mine. My tension dissolves as he pushes me back against the corner of the fridge.
I enjoy those same sensations that ripple through my body whenever he kisses me, relaxing as his tongue slides into my mouth.
He pulls back.
“Sorry,” he says with a smirk. “Had to get you to calm down somehow.”
“Why do I have a feeling you’re not really sorry?”
He shrugs. “Maybe we’ve just been around each other long enough that you know better. Now everything’s going to be totally fine as long as you make sure I don’t burn the condo down, okay?”
I finally smile.
“Yeah. You’re right. Let’s just go ahead and stuff the turkey so we can throw it in after we drop off the sweets at the food drive.”
“I’m good at stuffing things,” Cody assures me.
“And we’re even better when we stuff things together.”
He chuckles.
We get to work on the turkey, and when the cookies are done, I pull them out of the oven and set them on the counter to cool. The food drive is only ten minutes from the condo, so it won’t take much time to get back here and put everything on.
